Concord-Carlisle Youth Lacrosse offers an instructional lacrosse program for which no prior experience is necessary. We concentrate on the development of individual skills and fundamental game concepts.
The required equipment applies to practices as well as games. For the safety of all involved, no player will be allowed to participate without the required equipment. A referee may remove a player from the game field if s/he does not have all of the required equipment or if s/he does not have a mouth guard in place. The team may be penalized for equipment infractions. Please review the Boys and Girls sections for additional information (as both programs have different requirements).
Equipment designed for other sports such as hockey or soccer are not an appropriate substitute for lacrosse equipment because it is not likely to fit correctly and may not provide appropriate protection.
The program provides goalie equipment for those who need it. The equipment includes the following: (Boys) goalie stick, chest protector, throat protector and optional thigh pants (Girls) goalie stick and helmet. Unlike other positions, the goalie may wear soccer or hockey shin guards. If your child would like to play goalie and you have specific questions about the equipment needed, please contact your child’s coach.
