2014 FALL BALL
Skills & CHUMASH
CCYL is continuing with our fall tradition led by CCHS Varsity Coaches Tom Dalicandro and John Smith. The Fall ball program is for our players to improve their stick skills and lax IQ through skills and the game of CHUMASH!! This form of lacrosse is equivalent to 3 on 3 pick-up basketball. It is about moving with and without the ball in order to advance it and score.
We are also inviting players from neighboring towns to join us in the fun.
The sessions will have a small amount of fundamental drills with the majority of playing Chumash. The coaches will help the kids to focus on fundamentals through the game of Chumash.
Here are the details of the program:
Registration opens: August 1, 2014 and closes September 10, 2014
· Dates: Sundays - September 14, 21 and 28. October 5, 19, and 26
· Cost: $85.00
· When/Where: Clinic times TBD due to field availability. Plan on:
Grade 1 – 4 CCHS Turf Field 1 - 1:00-2:00 PM
Grade 5 – 8 CCHS Turf Field 1 - 2:00-3:30 PM
Note: Full lax gear including mouth piece required for all players. There are no goalies in Chumash. This is a great way for goalies to work on their skills and understand what the offense wants to do to score. We encourage all goalies to play Chumash and score!
Note: No make up dates for any weather cancelations.
